Appeals
Graduate students may dispute substantive or procedural academic matters, including grades, of comprehensive examinations and other program requirements; decisions about the student’s continuation in any program; or concerning any other decision with respect to the application of academic regulations and requirements to a student.
The Department encourages students to attempt to settle any issues that may arise by approaching the professor involved. If such informal procedures fail to resolve the matter, a formal appeal may be instituted, beginning with a submission to the History Department Graduate Appeals Committee. For fuller information on appeals, please consult the SGS Calendar.
